First off
|
- Rake in the Trees does not change the Neck Rake
- Rake in the Trees reduces Trail
(and can make it go NEGATIVE)
|
| With a springer you shouldn't need rake in the
trees, the rockers on a springer have the same function as the
raked trees. Trail is reduced because the front axle is moved
closer to the contact patch of the front tire moves closer to
the point where the steering axis (an imaginary line through
the center of the frame neck) meets the ground. |

| |
| Springers, if you have the correct
trail, are a really nice ride. And if made properly they should
not POGO and should be able to be ridden speeds in excess of
100mph. |
